What we did:

The building at Lees Ave in Ottawa was a 40 year old brick building and the client wanted to update the exterior for improved esthetics and thermal performance.

The first step was to remove the existing exterior windows, doors and balcony railings.

We then installed improved vapor barriers and Z-Bars over the existing masonry to improve the performance of the aging wall.

The final step was to Install a curtainwall glass and panel system. The existing balconies were incorporated into the interior foot print ,increasing unit areas.

The end result was a refreshed looking exterior and an older building with improved thermal performance to meet today’s demands.
